Cid, a founding partner of Makrimichalos Cugini Architects, announced his retirement as of August 2012. He has been responsible for the design and planning of many innovative projects over the last 37 years. We wish him a happy and relaxing retirement!

Conferences

In November 2011, Cid presented our Mount Pleasant Village Project (Mount Pleasant Village School, Library and Community Centre and Mount Pleasant Village GO Pavilions and Transit Structures) at the "Moving the Yardsticks Forward" conference held at the Mississauga Delta Meadowvale Hotel.

In October 2011, Leo attended the following lecture in London, England: Investing in Education - Building Better Schools given by the AIA CAE (Committee for Architecture for Education) and the BCSE (British Council for School Environments). A link to his photos will be coming soon!

WORK IN PROGRESS

We are pleased to announce that we are currently under construction for the Ajax Williamson Catholic Elementary School. This new and exciting project for the Durham Catholic District School Board is well underway, on schedule, and is due to be opened September of 2012.
